Poetry Out Loud

My poem was "Love Lives Beyond the Tomb" by: John Clare, well, I only read the poem and memorized it when I was about to say it in front of the class because I memorized the wrong poem... but it was about love and how you might love certain things in life. It talks about sleep, flowers, the spring time, and voice. I love lots of things too, like my boyfriend, family, friends, the spring time because my birthday is in the spring! and many other things. well since i already did the poem to the class, I think I need to work on my voice and actually remember the whole poem, my face was just blank since I didn't really remember the whole poem, and my gestures, I think I need to work on and actually be into saying my poem.

What I am doing this Winter Break

This Winter Break I'm going to be hanging out with my friends, family, probably going skiing with my boyfriend and his parents, and sadly doing homework... and of course going to my aunts/uncles house and my grandparents house for Christmas Eve, that's also my uncles birthday! and on Christmas Day, we are having everybody at my house. My mom makes the best cinnamon rolls in the world on Christmas! I'm gunna have lots of presents to open! I'm so excitedddd.(: This Winter Break should be a good one, I'll be spending lots of time with my boyfriend and family.
I hope you have a good Winter Break to Mrs. Gilman.

Crucible: Injustice

Well, the state of Washington didn't pass a law where if an immgrant is very dangerous to be deported if they did something wrong like murder or anything a higher up level of dangerously because they thought that if they just did something like ran a red light and was deported for it so they decided not to have that for the state of Washington. that had to be the worst thing that the state of Washington could have done for this state. It relates with the Crucible because when Abigail was telling all those lies to the court, she was lying and telling them that random innocent women were witches but really werent. So by Washington not making that law legal they pretty much screwed the state because now every immgrant will come to Washington and then it will become a higher level of illegal dangerous immgrants. and the Crucible, Abigail killed innocent women because John didn't want her anymore.

Poetry Out Loud

I read the poems, "Keeping Things Whole" by Mark Strand, "Kindness" by Yusef Komunyakaa, "Kitchenette Building" by Gwendolyn Brooks, "Knucks" by Carl Sandburg, and "Kubla Khan" by Samuel Taylor Coleridge.
I like the poem, "Keeping Things Whole" by Mark Strand, because he was explaing when he leaves a place that something will just replace him with something else. I didn't really like the rest of the poems because i didn't really get what they ment and it was confusing for me. I would much rather choose "Keeping Things Whole" by Mark Strand, I personally connected with that poem because when I die, something will take my place.
Be easier for me would be physical presence and voice and articulation because I think I have a pretty good voice and I always try to have a good body language. Be harder for me would be level of difficulty and evidence of understanding because I lots of trouble understanding things and I dont like hard poems to figure out.

Essay writing

Me as a writer, i think that i have improved since my freshman year, improved my punction and spelling, and somewhat making my essays more compact.im still trying to work on that. I've been getting better at my essays by always using to pick the right words to use. My development in my essays are improving by always knowing whats wrong in my previous essays so I know what to do in my next essay.
Every year I always write what I have to improve my writing and just about me and what i do in life. those essays always helped me because it would make me think what i wanna do in life and what helps me do in my classes.

Why are we reading the Crucible?

Well the Crucible relates to my life because i always see the cheating on people and always hearing all the lying about everything. theres just so much of all the lying because people are so insecure about themselves and cant tell the truth. theres only exceptions to lie, like a surprise for everybody like something special that there gunna do for another person.
Well in the play, John Proctor is the guy that had the affair with Abigail and i've seen families break up because either the mom or dad had an affair. And, Abigail is a liar. i know so many people that lie and its ridiculious. i cant stand people that lie all the time. My ex boyfriend lied to me every single day and he would keep it up even if i knew the truth about what he did. And, he cheated on me too.

American Literature

American literature tells us about what happened about the people writing the stories, plays, poems, and novels because they would always write them about their past lives ow what happened to them when they were growing up. i thinkit means to be an american is to do the right thing in life, not to be like someone else, be your own person, and stand in what you believe in life. we all have in common is we fight in what we believe in sometimes our common goals and dreams are to have peace is which is taking a long time and making the world great but its kinda going down hill at this time. But. hopefully it gets better.
